Cheerleading
SCFL Cheerleading is a traditional cheerleading program for children ages 5-12 (as of July 31).  Participants are taught cheers, chants, jumps, dance, basic tumbling, and game situations and cheer for fall season SCFL games.

The SCFL frequently partners with Woodlands Elite Cheer Company, a competitive cheer organization, who offers coaching assistance, camps, and classes for the SCFL Cheerleaders during the season.

Registration for SCFL Cheerleading may be done online only. Registration closes July 1 or when we are at full capacity.  Cheerleader will be contacted for uniform sizing.

  • Custom Fitted Uniform – skirt, top, briefs, socks

  • Trophy
Squads & Practices
SCFL Cheerleaders are broken into squads based on the age divisions of the football program.  We do our best to place girls with siblings participating in the league on a squad that allows them to cheer for their brother.

All squads practice together and are coached by Cheer Director, Brandi Scott.  Practices are typically held once a week during the regular season, although additional practices may be held as needed or agreed upon by parents.

Games
SCFL Cheerleaders are expected to cheer for league football games according to the division and/or squad assigned to them.  The majority of season games are held on Saturdays at Gullo Park and may last up to 90 minutes.  SCFL Cheerleaders will not be required to travel to Alliance games held outside of SCFL home fields.

All squads will also be expected to perform during halftime for league Superbowl games held at the end of the season, as well as any special events or appearances requested of the SCFL.

Tournament of Champions (TOC)
Tournament of Champions (TOC) is a tournament designed to group teams together with similar Win/Loss records and bracket them for a tournament. Tournament of Champions known as T.O.C. is a single elimination tournament with all participants receiving a Trophy, Medal or Ribbon depending on the team’s level of advancement for their participation in the tournament. TOC offers a great opportunity at 3 different levels of performance play for a team to see how they match up with other teams with similar win/loss records.  For the team’s that are unfortunate and have not won a game in the regular season, it gives them the opportunity to play like teams and have an honest chance to win a game or two and end the regular season on a positive note and experience.  TOC also offers exposure to all participants the experience of tournament play. Tournament of Champions is played with regular season teams and ends the regular season of the Lone Star Youth Football Alliance.

Tournament Gate Entrance Fee’s are required to enter the park and share in the excitement of tournament play. The Gate Entry Fee’s as approved by the LSYFA Members are as follows:
